difference between industry standards and design standards

Here I explain the difference between industry standards and design standards.

What is the difference between industry standards and design standards?

Industry standards are specified by standards organizations and developed by technical committees. The adoption of industry standards doesn’t result in a fully standardized SOA implementation.

Custom design standards, which are designed by an IT department, are required to achieve the goals of service oriented computing and address the unique requirements, environments and other constraints. Design standards should consistently determine solution logic characteristics in advance. They determine the e.g. version of the utilized industry standard. With custom design standards a fully standardized SOA implementation is achieved.

Design standards for service contracts result in the avoidance or reduction of transformation requirements.
