Here I explain, what the increased federation goal is and why it is so important in an service oriented architecture.
What is the Increased Federation goal?
Federation means to unify (endpoint perspective) disparate environments, while those environments are independently governed and so maintain their autonomy. This is achieved through the deployment of standardized and composable services. Each service has a standardized contract (endpoint) to achieve a standardized, consistent, harmonized, federated service layer while encapsulating different systems in a service.
